There are quite a few flowering perennials and shrubs in bloom now!

The Butterfly Bush is attracting quite a few butterflies these days.

There are still some colorful flats of annuals, Marigolds and Zinnias, in-store special pricing at $8.99/flat. They will freshen up any flower garden in all the dry, hot weather.

The Echinacea, or Coneflower, comes in many varieties and colors. it is another butterfly attractant.

Daisies and Coreopsis are blooming well. As long as they are deadheaded and fertilized, the bloom will continue into fall.

Some of the Hydrangea are blooming with long lasting blooms. We also have Tree Hydrangeas!

Last but not least, Clematis and Roses are showing lots of color!

As for our maintenance, we are repairing old irrigation lines and keeping up with the weeds, not to mention extra watering.

Beetles and deer are a real problem this year for us. we have been using Bonide Eight Dust for beetles. for the deer, anything goes – pie pans, water sensor sprayer, soaps, and some sprays to use directly on the shrubs. What a challenge it is!
