With all the excessive rain this month of July, you would think it’s the month of April. Combined with the heat and humidity, is favorable for one thing – disease.
We have sprayed many times for disease and insect control around the nursery in the past several weeks. Some fungicides to prevent or control disease are Bonide Citrus fruit and Nut Orchard Spray. this is a 2 in 1 product containing sulfur for disease, and pyrethins for insect control. It is totally organic. Daconil 2787 is another popular fungicide for lawn, garden, and ornamentals.
Seranade and Agriphos are 2 other organic fungicides. Remember to read the label and spray every morning or evening hours. and avoid spraying where bees are populating.
